Truffle Salt Popcorn

This popcorn is easy to make.

All that is needed is

  • 3 tbs. olive oil
  • 1/3 cup unpopped popcorn kernels
  • 3 tbs. unsalted butter
  • ½ tsp black truffle salt

Instructions for preparation:

  1. Put the olive oil into a large pot. Place the pot over the stove top over medium heat. Add one kernel to the pan. Once the kernel starts to pop that means the oil is hot and ready. Add the rest of the kernel to the pot. Cover the pot and move it back and forth on the stove until the popcorn is popped.
  2. To tell if the popcorn is done listen for the popping sound. It should take around three minutes for the popcorn to cook.
  3. Put the popcorn in a paper bag to drain.
  4. In a saucepan on the stovetop melt the butter.
  5. Put the butter over the popcorn
  6. Sprinkle the popcorn with the truffle salt. Shake to make sure that everything is evenly coated.

The popcorn is ready to serve right away. It can also be stored in an air tight container if there is anything left over. To add a little more of the truffle flavor truffle oil can be drizzled onto the popcorn right before serving. This treat is a great way to add flavor to ordinary popcorn. The truffle salt takes popcorn for boring to extraordinary.
