Can You Take Too Much Himalayan Salt?
Over the last few years, I have received many emails and phone calls from people who wanted to know if you can take too much of any type of salt. The answer is yes.
I will start by telling you that I am not a doctor so my comments may not be appropriate for you. However, salt is one of the most important types of supplements you will ever take. This goes for not only for the mineral but for other ingredients as well.
Mineral supplements are recommended by doctors to help with losing weight and maintaining healthy bones. But, the question is, how much of the mineral should you take? Is one gram enough to stay healthy or should you take twice that?
Since you probably know this already, I will explain. The answer to this question will affect the importance of the minerals you take in addition to the others.
Calcium and other minerals that the body needs to maintain health will include magnesium, sodium, calcium, potassium, hematite salts, etc. Each of these must be taken in adequate amounts.
Any supplement that you take will disrupt the bodys system and cause more problems. If you take too much of them, you will have to suffer the consequences.
Any excessive salt intake will weaken the muscles and can make your skin fall out. In addition, your stomach might not be able to get rid of the excess food.
You also will have problems if you drink lots of water to flush out the salt from your system. If you take too much hematite salts, you will have to use less than normal supplements.
These salts also go through the kidneys, so you cannot keep adding more of them to the diet. If you do, you could experience problems with your kidneys.
You also need to understand that you should use supplements at the correct dosage. The way it works is that the salt is absorbed into the body at a certain rate and then it will be used.
If you are taking a regular basis of these salts, it does not matter how much you take, you will only absorb half of the dose. So, you need to take more of them than the usual to get more benefits.
